It’s summer, 2022 and travel is back! Don’t find your hotel or motel unready for bed bugs.

It’s been quite a while since people traveled like they are now. The statistics tell us the number of travelers might still be lower than pre-covid, but the lines at the airports and occupancy at many hotels tell us another story.

Regardless of the numbers, people want to get out and about again!

For many people, the last two years have been isolating from friends, family, and exotic vacations. Many folks lived with bed bugs during the pandemic closures. Any surviving bed bugs in hotels or motels have lived without a good meal for a year or more. Travelers who still have bed bugs at home will probably take them with them. Hungry bed bugs will search you out where you’re staying, and could very well hitchhike home with you.

Either way, it’s a situation we will find ourselves in for a while to come.
